Dr. Gallardo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then attended dental school at the University of Puerto Rico, graduating with honors. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at the prestigious New York-Presbyterian- Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he was awarded Resident of the Year. Later completing a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial surgery Internship at Brooklyn Hospital Center.
He pursued an additional 4 years of specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital, including surgical experience at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Hospital, Washington Hospital Center, Children’s National Medical Center, Anne Arundel Medical Center, and Winchester Hospital Center in Virginia, becoming very proficient in dental extractions, implants, advanced bone grafting, management of TMJ disorders and orthognathic surgery. As Chief Resident his training included facial plastic surgery rotation at Georgetown Hospital with world-renowned Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Posnick.
He is currently Board Eligible and holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
He enjoys interacting with patients and providing a comfortable experience. Dr. Gallardo enjoys spending his free time playing tennis, cycling, and golf. He especially loves spending time with his 1-year-old daughter.
