Dr. Amir Naimi is a native of the Washington Metro area having spent most of his life in Maryland and Northern Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University. He was then accepted to the DDS program at VCU and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following dental school, he moved to Boston and completed a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Tufts University in affiliation with the New England Medical Center.
Dr. Naimi is a member of the prestigious national dental fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He is also a member of a number of local and national organizations for oral and maxillofacial surgery and dentistry. After becoming involved with the Mission of Mercy and the Virginia Dental Association Foundation (previously known as the Virginia Dental Health Foundation) to help those in need, he quickly realized the importance of community service and continued to give back even during his busy residency program. Contributing his services to a number of humanitarian organizations including Cure and Operation Smile, he has traveled to India, Jamaica, and Honduras where he has performed head and neck pathology and cleft lip and palate defect surgeries.
Dr. Naimi has successfully placed many dental implants and bone grafts using cutting-edge imaging technology and computer-assisted implant placement programs. He practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including corrective jaw surgery, snoring, sleep apnea, management of facial trauma, facial pathology and TMJ surgery. In addition to office-based procedures, he is an active staff member at INOVA Fair Oaks hospital. The needs of his patients are of utmost importance and Dr. Naimi strives to create a comfortable atmosphere and patient experience with every procedure.
