Dr. Dawood obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the University of Pune in India. He went on to study at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League institution, to achieve his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He proceeded to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York where he also served as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Dawood is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. For the past decade, Dr. Dawood has been in private practice. He was actively involved in training residents at the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has had the privilege to serve the Veterans of our armed forces while working at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. Over the past few years, Dr. Dawood has been in private practice in the Washington DC metro area, which he now calls home.
Dr. Dawood is passionate about oral surgery and practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special interest in wisdom teeth removal, in-office sedation, implant surgery, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting and oral pathology.
He is a member of several professional organizations including American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Academy of Osseointegration and American Dental Association.
