Oral Pathology

This past month, on Thursday April 20th we hosted our first Continued Education Event of 2017. We had Dr. John Svirsky, cover the topic of oral pathology. Dr. John Svirsky is a board certified oral and maxillofacial pathologist at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia.  He received his dental degree in 1973 from VCU and went on to complete a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Queens Hospital Center, as well as an oral pathology residency at the Catholic Medical Center.

We are so excited to continue serving the Northern Virginia community with our new office located off of Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia. We have 6 brand-new, state-of-the-art operatories, all outfitted with the latest technology and build for the comfort of you, our patients. We have had such a great time meeting the Alexandria dental community and it all culminated at our Open House event in September.

Receding Gums: Are dental implants still an option?

Receding gums usually occur as a result of long-term or severe gum disease. Gum disease must be treated before dental implants can be placed to ensure your healing after the procedure is successful. If you have receding gums or other signs of gum disease, consult with your implant dentist about your options. Jaw pain: Could it be from wisdom teeth?
