Last month we had the pleasure of having Dr. Joe Blaes as our speaker for our first CE lecture of the year. Dr. Blaes is passionate about teaching dentists all over the country to understand the patient’s wants before addressing their needs. Discovering the patient’s concerns at the start of the appointment helps to create the treatment plan with them rather than for them. The key is to develop a trusting relationship.

In October of this year, we hosted our last continued education course of the year and it couldn’t have gone any better, we had a full house! We had the pleasure of having Dr. Geoffrey Cunningham as a speaker.

This summer we hosted our second continued education event and had the pleasure of having Thomas Viola as our speaker. He is the founder of “Pharmacology Declassified”, is a board-certified pharmacist who also serves the professions of dentistry as a clinical educator, professional speaker, and published author. Tom is a member of the faculty of ten dental professional degree programs and has received several awards for outstanding teacher of the year. Tom has presented hundreds of continuing education courses to dental professionals, nationally and internationally, in the areas of oral pharmacology and local anesthesia and is well-known for his regular contributions to several dental professional journals.

This past month all our team got together to enjoy some quality time together, outside of the office. We had everyone from our Burke, Reston and Alexandria office join us at Burke Lake Park. It was great having everyone together to enjoy some good food, music and games. The cherry on top of everything was the weather! We were a bit worried about it being so hot since earlier that week it was in the mid and high 90s. Luckily, mother nature looked out for us and we had a blast, take a peek a some of the pictures below!

Earlier this year, our Reston office was relocated to a different part of Reston. No worries, we didn’t go too far. We’re only 0.7 miles away from our old office. We are no longer on Sunset Hills Road we are now on Commerce Park Drive, right across the toll road from where our old office was located. We have 4 brand-new, state-of-the-art operatories, all outfitted with the latest technology and build for the comfort of our patients.

We had our last continued education lecture of 2017 last month and it was great! We had the pleasure of working with Fortress Insurance Company, who was able to provide our speaker of the evening, Dr. Ragan. It was a full house and we thank everyone that was able to attend.
